devlog milestone 3
https://gunmetalarcadia.com/wordpress/10-things-i-learned-in-one-year-of-keeping-a-devlog/
which of those 10 things resonates with you? why?
The idea of being forced to manage your time better is interesting to me. The devlog as a source of motivation and accountability is a use I hadn’t considered, and I think it’s pretty cool!
what did you do last week?
Last week, I got my last important interaction working (picking up and giving treats). I also started an art pass, and got a good chunk of the models I need completed. I focused a lot on aesthetics, adding different colored trees, a little garden, and clouds in the background.
what are you going to do next? do you have any concerns?
I’m going to finish modeling and then start making adjustments and adding flavor! (Also touching up any minor bugs I notice along the way.) This is going to include making smoother camera follow script, adjusting the lighting, and fixing the end screen and score.
how do you feel about your progress so far?
I feel like I’m pretty far ahead of where I thought I’d be, which is great. There are endless things I could do, but I feel confident about being able to get a version I’m happy with done by next Thursday.
Other than that, I’ve noticed that thinking about modeling and understanding the space and the tools is slowly getting a lot easier.
