the door problem


Liz England's "The Door Problem" describes some of the roles in a large game company, which can range from creating art to optimizing door-placing tools.

For me, the jobs that stood out as most interesting were Writer, Project ManagerSystems Designer and Composer. I'd like to work at a smaller company or on a small team, so many of these roles would overlap more. Least appealing to me were Legal (I'm in game design school and not law school for a reason) and Localization. Level Designer and Sound Designer sound potentially interesting as well.
